Pedro's Operation

Pedro had his operation today and as you can see by his smile he's doing well! If you're not aware Pedro has a handicap with his right foot and right arm. The doctors aren't sure if it was caused by a severe beating or if it is a form of Cerebral Palsy. At any rate Pedro could only step on the tips of his right toes causing him to limp markedly and to go through a pair of shoes every three weeks. Today the doctors cut his achilles tendon and stretched the foot in a 90% plus flex before casting him to stretch the tendon during healing. They believe that the foot will now hit the ground completely flat and that he will walk and run almost normally. It will be a monumental change for Pedro!

Pray for Pedro...he can't walk at all for three days and he's already rebelling against that idea. Then he has to keep the cast on 4-6 weeks and he's not doing real good at making it through the first day. But most of all, pray that God will enable Pedro to do things he never dreamed of doing!

I want to give a shout out to Cure International; that's the hospital that did Pedro's surgery and they are spectacular! They are professional (U.S., Canadian, & Honduran doctors), friendly, kind, and CHRISTIAN! And the icing on the cake is that they only 'charge' a donation! If you have the opportunity support this organization.
